Sarah Huckabee Sanders shoots down questions about joining a second Trump administration
Former White House Press Secretary and Arkansas Gov. Sarah Huckabee Sanders claimed her father would be the only family member in the administration.
Former White House Press Secretary and Arkansas Gov. Sarah Huckabee Sanders on Tuesday said she does not plan on joining President-elect Donald Trump in his second administration.
Huckabee Sanders', who served in the first Trump administration, has been a staunch supporter of her former boss, but said she plans to stay as the governor of Arkansas, and run for reelection next year. However, she praised Trump for selecting her father, Mike Huckabee, as ambassador to Israel.
"There is no one President Trump could have picked with a greater love for the Israeli people and commitment to the unbreakable bond between America and Israel than him," Huckabee Sanders wrote in a statement. "Love you dad!"
The former press secretary claimed her father would be the only family member in the administration, according to Newsmax.
"I've already announced my bid for reelection, and I look forward to serving in this position for the next six years," Huckabee Sanders said in a statement following a speech in Arkansas. “So unfortunately and hopefully you guys are stuck with me for awhile and the only member of my family that will be going into the administration is my dad."
