Twitter owner Elon Musk on Saturday has announced new rules for users of the app in the midst of multiple complaints of access issues.

"To address extreme levels of data scraping & system manipulation, we’ve applied the following temporary limits: Verified accounts are limited to reading 6,000 posts/day, Unverified accounts to 600 posts/day, and New unverified accounts to 300/day," Musk wrote on social media.

Multiple users reported being unable to access the app and being unable to view certain posts.

As of 11 a.m. ET, over 7,000 people reported issues with the app to the website Downdetector.

The new rules allow certain accounts that are verified to view more posts, while those that are unverified are limited to viewing fewer posts.

Twitter had another access problem back in February during which users could not post for about 90 minutes and received a message that read, “You are over the daily limit for sending Tweets.”

In March, some users had a difficult time uploading photos, according to NBC News.
