X returns to including headlines in posts with links, then flips back

The update has not appeared on iOS while Android headlines appear as they did before the changes.

X, formerly Twitter, started including headlines in posts, reversing a change instituted in October by owner Elon Musk, but by Wednesday, the platform had reverted back to not including headlines.

X initially had included webpage titles in posts with links, but they were removed in October to only include a preview photo from a link in a post. The Verge reported Tuesday that X added headlines to article links once again, but by Wednesday, the platform stopped including headlines in posts with web links.

The change had only been temporarily instituted on the desktop site. Posts on the iOS app still appear the same as they did after the change in October, while headlines on the Android app still appear as they did before the changes were instituted.

It is unclear when or if the change would be made permanent to include headlines on X posts.
