Students at Georgetown University protested for the school to make amends for its history, with reparations funded by student fees to be directed to charities benefiting descendants of enslaved people, outside a Board of Directors meeting held on campus in Washington DC on October 3, 2019.

Should black Americans who never met a slave get paid money from white Americans who never owned one? The battle over reparations is so contentious, it’s even divided black civil rights activists.
