Thousands of anti-abortion activists are expected to participate Friday in the annual "March for Life" in Washington, D.C.

The annual march on the capitol is the largest anti-abortion rally in the country, with the theme this year being, "with every woman, for every child."

The theme focuses on caring for both mother and child during nine months of pregnancy and years following, according to ABC7 News.

"We celebrate the heroic work of Pregnancy Care Centers and Maternity Homes, while offering a roadmap to how we will truly achieve a life-affirming culture that respects the inherent dignity of all human life," Jeanne Mancini, president of March for Life, said in a statement, according to the outlet.

This will be the second march on the capitol since the Supreme Court overturning of Roe v. Wade in 2022, which effectively put abortion law in the hands of states.

Many religious and anti-abortion groups are expected to attend the march that begin at 11 a.m. ET.

Speakers include House Speaker Mike Johnson, R-La., and former NFL tight end Benjamin Watson.
