After endorsement, Sununu rejects prospect of being Haley's VP

New Hampshire Republican Gov. Chris Sununu this week denied that he sought a cabinet position or vice presidential nod from a prospective President Nikki Haley after endorsing her for president.
"Oh, I don't want a job. Thank you, no," Sununu told Politico in a joint interview with Haley, interrupting the reporter. "I'm not even gonna let you get there. No. No."
"I think he would be great at anything," Haley said. "We need energy. We need people who are at the top of their game... If he wanted to be involved in service, I would love to have him in some capacity."
Sununu endorsed Haley at a campaign event his Manchester, N.H., on Tuesday evening. The Granite State is host of the second nominating contest in the Republican primary, though former President Donald Trump maintains a strong 25.6% lead over Haley, according to RealClearPolitics.
The governor announced in June that he would not seek reelection.
