Former President Donald Trump on Saturday addressed the concerns of young voters when it comes to homeownership and not having money in savings.

"In the Biden economy, one third of Gen Z and millennials have no savings accounts and no savings whatsoever," Trump said during the Turning Point USA Action Conference in West Palm Beach, Florida. "They have nothing. Homeownership has been pushed out of reach for millions with the rate of 30-year mortgages up 177%."

According to a recent survey from Realtor.com, approximately 78% of people wanting to purchase a home expect to be priced out of the housing market if interest rates and home prices continue to rise.

The survey finds that roughly 50% of those surveyed believe that not being able to afford a house is keeping them from living the American dream.

Trump vowed during his speech to tackle inflation if elected again in 2024.

"I will quickly stop Joe Biden's inflation," he said.

"I will restore energy independence and bring down interest rates so that young people can once again afford to buy a house and a car," he later added. "The basic American dream."

The former president encouraged the crowd, made up of mostly young people, to stand with him in the fight to save America.

"Your historic mission is to liberate America from these communists, fascists, Marxist, globalist warmongers who want to plummet the future of our country," the 45th president said. "And that's exactly what we are going to do together when we all together become the 47th President of the United States of America."
