Kennedy suspended his own independent presidential campaign on Friday and endorsed Trump over Vice President Kamala Harris.
Former President Donald Trump, who is running for a second term, responded on Friday to independent candidate Robert F. Kennedy Jr.'s endorsement of him in remarks in Nevada.
Kennedy suspended his own independent presidential campaign on Friday, after a week of speculation, and endorsed Trump over Vice President Kamala Harris.
Trump called the endorsement from Kennedy "big" and said that he appreciated the support.
“I want to thank Bobby, that was very nice,” Trump said. “He’s a great guy, respected by everybody.”
Kennedy indicated in his endorsement that he would be working with Trump in a unity party, by working on things that they agree on.
Trump's comments in Nevada come ahead of his rally in Glendale, Arizona, on Friday afternoon. The former president has teased there will be a "special guest" at the rally, and previously indicated that he could give Kennedy a spot in his cabinet if he's elected in November, according to CNN.
