Former President Trump discusses plans to get back on social media

Former President Donald Trump said on Thursday that he is considering either joining a new social media platform, or perhaps creating his own. He was suspended from Twitter, Facebook and YouTube last month. 

Trump made the comments during an interview on Newsmax TV's Greg Kelly Reports.  

"We're negotiating with a number of people, and there's also the other option of building your own site. Because we have more people than anybody. I mean you can literally build your own site," Trump said. 

Trump added that "if you look at what's going on with Twitter, I understand it's become very boring and millions of people are leaving. They're leaving it because it's not the same, and I can understand that." Trump had one of the largest followings of anyone on Twitter before his account was permanently deleted.  

Trump also criticized President Joe Biden for his "dumb statement" at a CNN town hall on Tuesday. Biden had suggested that there was no vaccine before they came into office.

"I saw that he said there was no vaccine when he came into office, and yet he got a shot before he came into office," Trump told Greg Kelly. "It was already in early November when we announced it, but we actually had it substantially before that. We were giving millions of shots and millions of doses. So he's either not telling a truth, or he's mentally gone, one or the other."
