Video of Biden donning MAGA hat during Pennsylvania visit goes viral

A viral video circulating on social media platform X shows President Joe Biden wearing a MAGA hat while visiting firefighters in Pennsylvania.

The three-second video shows someone handing Biden a MAGA hat and him putting it on.

"BREAKING: Kamala did so bad in last night's debate, Joe Biden just put on a Trump hat," the Trump War Room wrote on the social media platform X.

The White House told The Daily Mail that Biden wore the hat to show "bipartisan unity."

"At the Shanksville Fire Station, @POTUS spoke about the country's bipartisan unity after 9/11 and said we needed to get back to that," White House spokesperson Andrew Bates wrote on X. 

"As a gesture, he gave a hat to a Trump supporter who then said that in the same spirit, POTUS should put on his Trump cap. He briefly wore it," the post continued. 

The Trump War room X account also shared a photo of Joe with the hat on and captioned it, "Thanks for the support, Joe!"

Other accounts also began sharing the photos and video.

"Joe Biden accidentally put a red TRUMP hat on in Pennsylvania today," one user wrote.

"Biden has put on a Trump hat during an event in Pennsylvania," another user wrote.
