GOP Sen. Lindsey Graham was booed on Saturday at former President Donald Trump's rally held in the senator's home state of South Carolina.

“Thank y’all for coming. Thank you very much,” Graham said in response to the boos, according to The Hill.

The senator was booed for several minutes and even called a "traitor" by the crowd.

“Just calm down for a second. I think you’ll like this,” Graham said, trying to get the crowd to settle down.

“It took a while to get there folks, but let me tell you what happened,” he continued. “I’ve come to like President Trump and he likes himself and we got that in common. And I’m gonna help him become president of the United States.”

He went on to say that he wants to unite the GOP in preparation for the 2024 presidential election.

“So let me tell you how you win an election folks — you get people together that don’t agree all the time to agree on the most important things,” Graham stated. “My hope is we can bring this party together cause he’s gonna be our nominee.”
