Trump attends son Barron's high school graduation amid criminal trial
While Judge Juan Merchan has required Trump to attend proceedings, he agreed in late April to permit Trump to skip Friday and attend his son's graduation.
Former President Donald Trump on Friday attended his youngest son's high school graduation.
"Going to Barron’s High School Graduation. Great student, wonderful boy! Very exciting!!! DJT" he posted on Truth Social. The former president's ability to attend the ceremony was initially in doubt due to his ongoing criminal trial in Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg's hush money case.

Barron Trump, now 18, has recently entered the political arena. The former president confirmed earlier this month that he had taken an interest in politics and that he often attempted to advise his father.
"[H]e does like politics. It’s sort of funny. He’ll tell me sometimes, ‘Dad, this is what you have to do,’” Trump said at the time.
Barron had been tapped to participate in the Republican National Convention as a representative with the Florida delegation, though he declined due to a prior commitment.
