More Ohio Republican lawmakers endorse Trump
Sen. J.D. Vance, Reps. Jim Jordan, Max Miller and Mike Carey had already endorsed Trump.
Former President Donald Trump on Tuesday announced the names of more Ohio Republicans who are endorsing him in the 2024 presidential race.
Trump, who won Ohio by more than 8% in the 2016 and 2020 presidential elections, said he received new endorsements from Reps. Bill Johnson andTroy Balderson and state Treasurer Robert Sprague.
Sen. J.D. Vance, Reps. Jim Jordan, Max Miller and Mike Carey as well as Ohio Secretary of State Frank LaRose and U.S. Senate candidate Bernie Moreno have all already issued endorsements for Trump.
"America simply cannot continue down this dangerous and reckless path chosen by Joe Biden and his extremist administration," Johnson said. "It's time to return to the America First, common-sense policies of the first-term of President Donald Trump, and that's why I am pleased to endorse him in 2024."
In a poll last month from Ohio Northern University Institute for Civics and Public Policy, Trump received 64% of the vote in a hypothetical 2024 GOP primary, while entrepreneur Vivek Ramaswamy came in second with 12%.
