Palm Beach International Airport was officially renamed on Thursday to President Donald J. Trump International Airport.

The change was made possible by a law that Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis signed into law in March, and the Federal Aviation Administration issued guidance allowing the name change to be official on July 9, CBS News reported

Airports have an International Civil Aviation Organization code that consists of three letters preceded by a country code, which is "K" in the U.S. Palm Beach International was KPBI, and its new ICAO code is KDJT.

Aeronautical charts that pilots and air traffic controllers use showed the change on Thursday, but until Aug. 18, passengers will see the PBI code.
