Sarah Huckabee Sanders praises Trump during speech, 'not even an assassin's bullet could stop him'
“Not even an assassin’s bullet could stop him. God almighty intervened because America is one nation under God," Gov. Sanders said.
Arkansas GOP Gov. Sarah Huckabee Sanders praised former President Donald Trump during the Republican National Convention, saying not even a bullet could stop him.
“I have always been proud to stand with President Trump, but I have never been more proud to stand with him than tonight," Sanders said.
She went on to say that God intervened and saved him from the failed assassination attempt that occurred over the weekend.
“Not even an assassin’s bullet could stop him. God almighty intervened because America is one nation under God," she said.
Before Sanders became the governor of Arkansas, she served as Trump's White House press secretary from 2017 to 2019.
She also encouraged the audience to look forward to the future.
“We cannot know what the future holds," Sanders said. "But we know who damn well holds the future in his hands. God spared President Trump from that assassin because God is not finished with him yet.”
