Former President Donald Trump's presidential campaign announced on Tuesday that the former president will participate in a "Fighting Anti-Semitism in America" event in Washington, D.C., later this week.

The event on Thursday will be moderated by Dr. Miriam Adelson, and will include prominent Jewish leaders. Trump's appearance is currently scheduled for 6 p.m. Eastern, at the Hyatt Regency on Capitol Hill.

"While Kamala Harris has a troubling history of affiliating with individuals and organizations linked to antisemites, President Trump has stood firmly for religious freedom and the protection of all religions," Trump's campaign said in a news release. "He has consistently prioritized the protection of faith communities, whether through combating antisemitism or defending the rights of Christians."

"Kamala Harris, on the other hand, has shown a reckless disregard for these fundamental values, aligning herself with those who promote division and hatred," the campaign continued. "The difference between President Trump’s unwavering support for religious freedom and Harris’ dangerous alliances couldn’t be clearer."

The event comes shortly after Trump survived a second assassination attempt. The second attempt occurred on Sunday at his golf course in West Palm Beach, Florida.
