President Donald Trump unexpectedly auctioned off a painting late Wednesday night at a New Year's Eve party in West Palm Beach, Florida.
The painting, which was done by a speed painter at the event, was of Jesus and was sold for $2.75 million. Half of the proceeds will go to St. Jude's Children Research Hospital, while the other half will go to the local sheriff's office.
The president himself bid $100,000 for the painting. It was not immediately clear who made the winning bid.
The auction took place at Trump's resort in West Palm Beach, where the president is remaining for the Christmas and New Year's holidays.
