Former President Donald Trump's presidential campaign on Friday night revealed that legendary former Green Bay Packers quarterback Brett Favre will join the former president at a rally in Wisconsin next week.
Favre, who played in the NFL for 20 seasons, started for Green Bay from 1992 through 2007. He has also played for the Minnesota Vikings, the New York Jets, and the Atlanta Falcons. He has led Green Bay to two Super Bowls.
The former quarterback's appearance on the campaign trail comes after he endorsed Trump in the 2020 election. It also comes a month after he announced that he has been diagnosed with Parkinson's disease.
"My Vote is for what makes this country great, freedom of speech and religion, the second amendment, hard-working tax-paying citizens, police and military," Favre wrote on X in his endorsement of Trump, per Fox News. "In this election, we have freedom of choice, which all should respect. For me and these principles, my vote is for [Donald Trump]."
Favre will join Trump at the Resch Center in Green Bay, Wisconsin on Wednesday. The rally is expected to begin at 6 p.m. local time.
