Trump campaign announces it raised over $45 million in third quarter

Former President Donald Trump's campaign announced that it has raised $45.5 million in the third quarter from July to September. 

According to Reuters, the Trump campaign did not go into specifics about arriving at that amount. 

The Associated Press reports that Trump's campaign says it ended the month of September with over $37.5 million cash on hand, much of which was fundraised off of his legal challenges. 

Trump currently faces four indictments, with two of them being federal. 

He is currently still the frontrunner in the Republican primary with Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis in second place. 

The DeSantis team reported earlier this week that they raised $15 million during the third quarter.
