Trump campaign declares Vance the winner of the vice presidential debate
Democratic Vice Presidential nominee Tim Walz and Ohio GOP Sen. Vance squared off in a debate on Tuesday where they answered questions from CBS moderators.
GOP presidential nominee Donald Trump's campaign declared his running mate Sen. J.D. Vance, R-Ohio., the winner of the vice presidential debate.
"Senator Vance unequivocally won tonight's debate in dominating fashion. It was the best debate performance from any Vice-Presidential candidate in history," the campaign said in a press release.
Vance squared off with Democratic vice presidential nominees Tim Walz in a debate on Tuesday where they answered questions from CBS moderators.
"Senator Vance spoke the truth, eloquently prosecuted the case against Kamala Harris' failed record, and effectively held Governor Tim Walz accountable for his lies on behalf of the Harris-Biden Administration," the statement continued.
The candidates answered a variety of questions about different topics such as the economy, immigration and climate change.
"Tonight, Senator Vance proved why President Trump chose him as his running mate," the Trump campaign statement concluded. "Together, they make the strongest and most dynamic presidential ticket ever, and they are going to win on November 5th."
