Trump campaign slams Harris interview as a 'train wreck'

Former President Donald Trump's presidential campaign on Wednesday slammed Vice President Kamala Harris' performance during her first Fox News interview as a "train wreck," and claimed it as proof she cannot handle the pressure of the presidency.
Harris was interviewed by Fox News host Bret Baier, which aired during Baier's “Special Report,” and was conducted in Pennsylvania. It focused on top voter concerns heading into the general election in November, such as immigration and the economy.
The nearly 30-minute interview featured many clashes between both parties, including moments when the two kept speaking over each other, such as during the first exchange on border security.
“Kamala Harris’ interview with Bret Baier was a TRAIN WRECK," Trump Campaign National Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt said in a statement. "Kamala was angry, defensive, and once again abdicated any responsibility for the problems Americans are facing. She couldn’t give a straight answer to a single question because she has no answers.
"Kamala’s entire campaign is based on lies about President Trump," she continued. "Kamala can’t handle the pressure of an interview with Fox News—she certainly can’t handle the pressure of being President of the United States.”
The interview is one of the last times the vice president can expect to make her case before millions of voters cast their ballots in the general election next month. Early voting has already kicked off in multiple swing states, including Arizona and Georgia.
