Trump cancels North Carolina rally Friday, tentatively set to testify that day in NY on family biz
Court document release in June shows Trump, son Donald Trump Jr., and daughter Ivanka Trump to testify July 15
Former President Trump has reportedly canceled his rally Friday in Greensboro, N.C.
The American Freedom Tour announced in May appearances in Greensboro by Trump, son Donald Trump Jr., TV news personalities Kimberly Guilfoyle and former Judge Jeanine Pirro, Pinal County (Arizona) Sheriff Mark Lamb and political commentator Dinesh D’Souza, according to the Raleigh News & Observer.
In June, several news outlets reported, based on court documents, that Trump, daughter Ivanka Trump and Trump Jr. were tentatively set to start testifying July 15, the day of the Greensboro rally, as part of an investigation by New York Attorney General Letitia James into the Trump family business.
The American Freedom Tour has not publicized that the event will no longer take place Friday but has removed it from its website.
Tickets initially sold for $9 to $3,955. Tour officials apologized to the news outlet for the cancellation of the Greensboro event and said only that the decision was the result of "unforeseen circumstances" and that the event would be rescheduled.
