Trump to hold X space from Mar-a-Lago in wake of assassination attempt
The announcement of the X space follows a Sunday afternoon episode in which the Secret Service engaged an armed suspect at Trump's golf course in Palm Beach.
Former President Donald Trump will hold an X space on Monday evening in the wake of a second attempt on his life.
"Join me live from Mar-A-Lago at 8:00PM Eastern, tonight on X Spaces. Set a reminder and be sure to tune in!" Trump announced on X.
While Trump has largely eschewed the use of his X account since its reinstatement, he has used it to some extent during the campaign. Trump and X platform owner Elon Musk held a space in August that neared 3 billion impressions on the platform.
The announcement of the X space follows a Sunday afternoon episode in which the Secret Service engaged an armed suspect at Trump's golf course in Palm Beach. Authorities have arrested and charged Ryan Wesley Routh with federal gun charges in connection with the incident.
Trump himself has blamed Democratic rhetoric for inciting the attempts on his life. In the first assassination attempt in July, he sustained a gunshot wound to the ear. Trump was unarmed in Sunday's attempt.
