Former President Donald Trump on Monday remembered late actress Susanne Somers for being "strong, inspirational," and "kind," and said she will be missed after she passed away at her home Sunday, one day before her 77th birthday, after a battle with cancer.

"We lost a great Actress and person yesterday, Suzanne Somers. She was strong, inspirational, kind, and although you’re not supposed to say it anymore, very beautiful. She loved our Country, and brought light to everything and everyone she touched, and will be greatly missed," Trump wrote on Truth Social. "The World loved you, Suzanne!"

Somers expressed support for Trump in 2018.

"I'm happy about him," Somers said when asked for her thoughts on Trump in a video from TMZ. "I'm happy that the economy's doing so much better. I am."

She added, laughing: "And now my career is over."
