Trump reveals 'digital trading card collection' featuring art from his life, career
"Very much like a baseball card, but hopefully much more exciting."
Former President Donald Trump on Thursday announced the rollout of a digital trading card line featuring fantastical artwork depicting his "life and career," a collection the Republican president predicted would sell out "very quickly."
Trump had earlier in the week teased the announcement, which he rolled out on Thursday morning via his social networking site Truth Social.
"My official Donald Trump Digital Trading Card collection is here!" Trump declared on Truth. "These limited edition cards feature amazing ART of my Life & Career!"
The president urged supporters to "collect all of your favorite Trump Digital Trading Cards, very much like a baseball card, but hopefully much more exciting."
"Don’t Wait. They will be gone, I believe, very quickly!" he said.
On the card collection's website, Trump in a video announcing the cards said that purchasing the digital collectibles would enter the buyer into a sweepstakes to win "amazing" prizes, such as golf at one of his resorts as well as dinner with Trump himself.
"I don't know if that's an amazing prize," the president joked of the latter, "but it's what we have."
