Former President Donald Trump accused the Biden administration of abandoning the needs of Americans struggling with diabetes.

"Crooked Joe Biden is saying Medicare will not cover more than 50,000 Americans living with horrible open wounds caused by diabetes," Trump wrote in a TRUTH Social post Wednesday. "Their message to these Americans: 'Tough it out.'"

Biden campaigned in 2022 in part on lowering the cost of insulin, specifically for seniors.

According to a report from the Associated Press, Biden often promotes a $35 price cap for those on Medicare.

"Despite the testimony from doctors, ground-breaking medical research, and pleas from patients for help, the Biden administration is abandoning them," Trump's post continued.

He went on to slam Biden's record on the economy and the state of the U.S. southern border.

"Now Joe’s playing Russian Roulette with people’s lives, and doing something he promised he’d never do. These people are hurting, but they should know that help is on the way this November!" he concluded.
