President Donald Trump says CBS News' 60 Minutes should "pay a big price" for their "unlawful" and illegal" coverage of him, urging the Federal Communications Commission's Chairman Brendan Carr to take away the TV news network's license.

"Almost every week, 60 Minutes, which is being sued for billions of dollars for the fraud they committed in the 2024 Presidential Election with their interview of failed presidential candidate Kamala Harris, mentions the name 'TRUMP' in a derogatory and defamatory way," he wrote Sunday on Truth Social.

However, Trump said this past weekend's broadcast "tops them all" because of inaccuracies regarding his involvement in the negotiations between Ukraine's President Volodymyr Zelensky and Russia's President Vladimir Putin to end their war and talks about acquiring Greenland.

Trump is, in fact, the one suing CBS News and parent company Paramount.

His $20 billion suit accuses CBS News of deceptively editing an interview with former Vice President Kamala Harris, who at the time of the interview was also the 2024 Democratic nominee in the presidential race with Trump, the Republican nominee.

In Sunday's social media post, Trump also said he is "so honored to be suing 60 Minutes, CBS Fake News, and Paramount, over their fraudulent, beyond recognition, reporting," adding that the network did everything possible to "illegally elect" Harris and that it "must be responsible for what they have done and are doing."

"They should lose their license! Hopefully, the Federal Communications Commission (FCC), as headed by its Highly Respected Chairman, Brendan Carr, will impose the maximum fines and punishment, which is substantial, for their unlawful and illegal behavior," he wrote. "CBS is out of control, at levels never seen before, and they should pay a big price for this. MAKE AMERICA GREAT AGAIN!"
