Trump suggests 'terrorist thugs' destroying Teslas should go to prison in El Salvador
Multiple Tesla cars, charging stations and dealerships have been vandalized since Elon Musk began leading the Trump administration's Department of Government Efficiency.
President Donald Trump suggested Friday that individuals destroying Teslas should potentially go to prison in El Salvador.
"I look forward to watching the sick terrorist thugs get 20 year jail sentences for what they are doing to Elon Musk and Tesla," Trump wrote on TRUTH Social.
"Perhaps they could serve them in the prisons of El Salvador, which have become so recently famous for such lovely conditions!" his post continued.
Multiple Tesla cars, charging stations and dealerships have been vandalized since Elon Musk began leading the Trump administration's Department of Government Efficiency.
Some examples include Tesla charging stations being set on fire in Boston and Tesla cyber-trucks being set on fire in Seattle.
Attorney General Pam Bondi referred to the recent attacks as domestic terrorism.
"We will continue investigations that impose severe consequences on those involved in these attacks, including those operating behind the scenes to coordinate and fund these crimes," Bondi said.
