Trump teases 2024 run: 'We may have to do it again'
Former president has dropped increasing hints that he will make another attempt at White House.
Former President Donald Trump on Friday dropped another hint that he plans to run for president again in 2024.
"We may have to do it again," Trump said to the crowd at a rally in Wilmington, N.C., for GOP Senate candidate Ted Budd and U.S. House candidate Bo Hines.
The former president has kept up a steady stream of appearances at rallies for Republican candidates, maintaining a visible presence in the Republican party more than 18 months after leaving office.
Trump often uses these events to both slam Democratic politicians and criticize what he claims were illicit voting practices during the 2020 election.
At the North Carolina rally, Trump similarly claimed to have won the 2020 election. He also suggested that Democrats are poised to bring about the nation's destruction if they achieve further electoral victories.
"If you want the decline and fall of America, then you should vote for the crazy, radical left Democrats," he told the crowd.
