Former President Donald Trump is traveling to Florida on Monday to face federal charges in a Miami court over his handling of classified materials.
Trump is expected to appear in court Tuesday to face a judge on the 37 charges he was indicted on last week for allegedly retaining classified documents, violating the Espionage Act and obstructing justice.
Trump's appearance in court is the second one since April, when he was indicted on 34 counts in New York related to the falsification of business records.
Meanwhile, Miami Mayor Francis Suarez said at a press conference Monday that his city is taking safety precautions ahead of Trump's court appearance.
"We encourage people to be peaceful," he said. "And we are going to have the adequate forces necessary to ensure that."
