Trump vows to shut down sanctuary cities if elected in upcoming race
"Under the radical left Democrats, Michigan communities are being overrun with crime," Trump said.
Former President Donald Trump on Saturday vowed to shut down sanctuary cities across America if re-elected in 2024.
"We will shut down deadly sanctuary cities," he said during his rally in Grand Rapids, Michigan. "We're not gonna have them anymore."
Trump said that if he wins the election in November, the country will rely on law enforcement to get illegal aliens out of the country.
Illegal immigration has always been a big priority for Trump during his time in politics, from running on building a wall on the U.S.-Mexico border to promising to conduct the largest deportation operation in history.
"Under the radical left Democrats, Michigan communities are being overrun with crime," he said. "You know that better than anyone."
Trump said his deportation plan would be even larger than former President Dwight Eisenhower's deportation plan.
