One of President Donald Trump’s valets reportedly has tested positive for the novel coronavirus.

White House valets are members of an elite military unite who work closely with the president and the first family. Upon discovering the positive result of the valet’s test, the president was retested for the virus, his test was negative, according to a CNN report.

Deputy White House press secretary Hogan Gidley said in a statement, ”We were recently notified by the White House Medical Unit that a member of the United States Military, who works on the White House campus, has tested positive for Coronavirus. The President and the Vice President have since tested negative for the virus and they remain in great health.”

The president, vice president and all senior staffers who regularly interact with either of them are still being tested each week for the virus.

The unidentified valet, who is reportedly a member of the US Navy, exhibited symptoms of the illness Wednesday morning and was immediately tested.
