Anti-Israel protesters chant 'F*** Joe Biden' outside White House correspondents' dinner
Caitlyn Jenner said the demonstrators were "far from peaceful."
Anti-Israel protesters descended upon the White House correspondents' dinner, accosting celebrities attempting to enter the Washington, D.C., venue and chanting phrases such as "F*** Joe Biden," videos show.
The attendees walked through a gauntlet to attend the event at the Washington Hilton on Saturday as demonstrators screamed at them, according to a video of the incident.
Some demonstrators even tossed fake blood and screamed obscenities as attendees entered and exited the event, according to George Washington University Law School Professor Jonathan Turley, who attended on behalf of Fox News.
After attending the dinner, Olympic gold medalist Caitlyn Jenner wrote Sunday morning on X, formerly Twitter: "Shame on the hundreds of Terrorist sympathizers and the Hamas lovers outside last nights [White House correspondents' dinner] that were far from peaceful. There is no place for you or your vitriolic antisemitism in this country. Get the hell out - we don’t tolerate terrorism here."
Protesters in other videos can be heard chanting phrases such as "F*** Joe Biden" and "Shame on you!" When reporter Katie Pavlich approached the demonstrators, they began chanting, "You're not welcome here" and one person can be heard yelling at her, "Why don't you cover the genocide in f***ing Gaza?" before accusing her of being "complicit in this genocide," according to video of the incident.
Other photos from the protest appear to show demonstrators waving dollar bills in front of attendees. While the reasoning behind this is unknown, accusing Jews of being money-hungry is a common antisemitic trope.
During the event itself, President Joe Biden made fun of his presumptive 2024 competitor, former President Donald Trump.
