Video footage appears to show Rep. Boebert vaping, dancing during 'Beetlejuice' showing
Boebert's staff confirmed her ouster from the theater but denied vaping and claimed she had been too enthusiastic while viewing the performance.
Colorado Republican Rep. Lauren Boebert has denied that she was thrown out of a Denver theater for vaping during a performance of "Beetlejuice" last Friday, but video footage appears to cast doubt on that claim.
Boebert's staff confirmed her ouster from the theater but denied vaping and claimed she had been too enthusiastic while viewing the performance.
"I can confirm the stunning and salacious rumors: in her personal time, Congresswoman Lauren Boebert is indeed a supporter of the performing arts (gasp!) and, to the dismay of a select few, enthusiastically enjoyed a weekend performance of 'Beetlejuice,'" campaign manager Drew Sexton said at the time. Her campaign attributed the haze to fog machines used in the program.
The video footage, which 9News obtained, appears to show Boebert using a vape, taking flash photos, and raising her arms and dancing from her chair.
Following initial reports, Boebert issued a statement on X, saying "It's true, I did thoroughly enjoy the AMAZING Beetlejuice at the Buell Theatre and I plead guilty to laughing and singing too loud! Everyone should go see it if you get the chance this week and please let me know how it ends!"
Just the News has sought comment from Boebert's office.
