U.S. death toll from coronavirus surpasses that of Vietnam War

There have also been more than one million confirmed cases in the U.S.

The number of U.S. coronavirus fatalities has now surpassed the death toll from the Vietnam War.

According to the National Archives, there were 58,220 U.S. casualties in the Vietnam War. But the number of coronavirus deaths has now reached 58,355, according to Johns Hopkins University.

The number of confirmed coronavirus cases in the U.S. has surpassed 1 million, while the number globally exceeds 2 million according to Johns Hopkins University.
