Epidemiologist Dr. Harvey Risch says required COVID testing is useless
Dr. Risch explained that due to the politicization of public health, it is making it difficult to trust health experts.
Mandatory COVID-19 testing is useless and ineffective, according to Senior Research Scientist and Professor of Epidemiology at the Yale School of Public Health Dr. Harvey Risch.
"The testing was useless three years ago, and the testing is useless now," Dr. Risch said on Tuesday's edition of the "Just the News, No Noise" TV show.
Last week, the Biden administration announced that they would be requiring mandatory COVID testing for travelers flying to the United States from China.
"If we Keep Chinese people from coming here, the viruses that they carry are going to come here anyway," Dr. Risch explained. "It may take a little longer, but they're eventually going to get here. There's no way to stop that"
"The only thing that keeps me from worrying about that is that all of the viruses that they have are old news for the United States and for much of Western countries," he continued.
Dr. Risch explained that due to the politicization of public health, it is making it difficult to trust health experts.
"Public health has been highly politicized and there's a lot of political aspirations that have been pushed as we saw," he said. "We need to be able to combine good, valid reasons for the public health issues that we take on with extremely accurate science."
