White House COVID-19 Response Coordinator says U.S. is 'turning the corner' on pandemic

While 58% of the U.S. population ages 18 and older have received at least one dose, 43.8% have been fully vaccinated, according to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.

White House COVID-19 Response Coordinator Jeff Zients during an interview on CNN's State of the Union said that the country is "turning the corner" on the coronavirus pandemic.

While 58% of the U.S. population ages 18 and older have received at least one vaccine dose, 43.8%, or more than 113 million people, have been fully vaccinated, according to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.  

And while 45.8% of the total U.S. population has received at least one vaccine shot, 34.4%, or more than 114 million people, have been fully vaccinated, according to the agency.
