Dem strategist James Carville 'scared to death' ahead of election
Betting markets and polling data have recently shifted in Trump's favor as well.
Democratic strategist James Carville this week admitted he was "scared to death" that Vice President Kamala Harris could conceivably lose the 2024 election.
"The only thing I feel is the election is coming Nov. 5th. I’m scared to death," he said in a Wednesday appearance on MSNBC. Carville's warnings come amid signs that the race is tilting towards former President Donald Trump, with a host of polls suggesting he could sweep key swing states and potentially take the popular vote as well.
The strategist suggested that Harris bolster her own presence and take the initiative with media appearances, rather than respond to media outlets in interviews, such as her widely panned "60 Minutes" appearance.
"They need to be sharp. They need to be aggressive. They need to stop answering questions and start asking questions," he said.
