Democrat Bennet wins reelection in Colorado Senate race

Colorado Democratic Sen. Michael Bennet on Tuesday night has won his reelection bid against Republican challenger Joe O'Dea.
O'Dea had attempted to distance himself from former President Donald Trump to win over moderate support in the state that had skewed toward the Democrats in recent election cycles.
The Associated Press called the race at about 11:125 p.m. with 66% of the vote in. Bennet won 56% of the vote, compared to 41.7% for O'Dea's. Polls had shown a closer race.
Colorado's last Republican senator was Cory Gardner, who narrowly lost a reelection bid in 2020.
