Biden to address public on Wednesday about decision to exit race

President Joe Biden plans to address the nation on Wednesday about his decision to drop out of the 2024 presidential election and endorse Vice President Kamala Harris for the job.

His speech is scheduled 8 p.m. from the Oval Office.

The address marks the first time Biden has appeared on camera since posting a letter on social media Sunday about withdrawing from the race.

In a social media post, Biden said his speech will focus on "what lies ahead, and how I will finish the job for the American people."
