Bolton on Harris: Democratic Party's 'very special relationship with Israel' has 'disappeared'
Bolton served as former President Trump's national security advisor in the White House and became critical of Trump after he left
John Bolton, former President Trump's national security advisor in the White House, took issue with Vice President Kamala Harris' statements following her meeting with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu on Thursday, going as far as saying the Democratic Party's special relationship with the state of Israel has disappeared.
“She was very icy in her demeanor, showed strong discipline there, and her words were a clear signal,” Bolton, who became critical of Trump after leaving the White House, said on CNN Friday. “Harry Truman should be turning in his grave now, because the Democratic Party’s very special relationship with Israel I think has disappeared, and I think a Harris administration would be a whole different world in U.S.-Israeli relations,” he added.
Following the meeting, Harris said Israel has a right to defend itself, but how it does so matters."
She added that “the scale of human suffering in Gaza, including the death of far too many innocent civilians.”
