Hoping to convert a decisive South Carolina primary victory into Super Tuesday gold, former Vice President Joe Biden on Monday secured the endorsements of Minnesota Senator Amy Klobuchar, former South Bend Mayor Pete Buttigieg and former Texas congressman Beto O'Rourke.

The support from three former rivals came as moderates rallied behind Biden in an effort to slow frontrunner Senator Bernie Sanders’ momentum on the left.

“It is up to us, all of us, to put our country back together, to heal this country and then to build something even greater,” Klobuchar declared at a Biden campaign event in Texas where she delivered her endorsement. “I believe we can do this together. And that is why today I am ending my campaign and endorsing Joe Biden for president.”

"So I cannot think of a better way to end my campaign than joining his," she said.

Biden expressed his gratitude for the senator's endorsement during his speech at the event.

Former presidential contender Beto O'Rourke also took the stage and endorsed the former vice president, saying that he will vote for Biden on Super Tuesday.

"We need somebody who can beat Donald Trump," the former congressman told the audience. "The man in the White House today poses an existential threat to this country, to our democracy, to free and fair elections. And we need somebody who can beat him. And in Joe Biden we have that man. We have someone who in fact is the antithesis of Donald Trump: Joe Biden is decent, he's kind, he's caring, he's empathetic."

Buttigieg also publicly endorsed Biden on Monday, tweeting that he is "proud to stand with the VP and help make him our next Commander-in-Chief."

Super Tuesday offers the remaining Democratic presidential hopefuls an opportunity to amass delegates from fourteen states and American Samoa--the voting period for Democrats Abroad runs from March 3 to March 10.
