Texas GOP Rep. Dan Crenshaw became the first incumbent to lose his primary Tuesday night, after challenger Texas state Rep. Steve Toth won the nomination with xx percent of the vote.

Crenshaw was the only Republican incumbent in Texas to seek reelection without President Donald Trump's endorsement, according to the Associated Press. Trump did not endorse Toth, who did earn the backing of Sen. Ted Cruz.

The incumbent has broken with Trump multiple times recently, including by condemning the January 6 riot and Trump's claims that he won the 2020 presidential election instead of former President Joe Biden.

Toth, who is running to represent Texas' second congressional district, will face Democrat Shaun Finnie in November.
