David Bossie and Corey Lewandowski, key members of the Trump 2016 campaign team, believe that President Trump will secure reelection in the 2020 presidential contest, which Bossie characterized as the most significant of his life.

"This is an election about freedom versus socialism," Bossie said during an interview on the "John Solomon Reports" podcast, noting that he thinks voters will ultimately repudiate socialism. "This is the most consequential election of my lifetime," he said, adding that he has "been voting since Reagan-Bush '84."

Bossie, the president of Citizens United, said that this election deals with very significant issues, and he highlighted a series of stark contrasts.

"But it's about higher taxes or lower taxes," he said. "It's about more job-killing regulations or fewer regulations. It's about open borders and free healthcare for illegals, or it's about border security. It's about anarchy in the streets and defunding the police, or it's about law and order."

Lewandowksi — who serves as a senior adviser to the Trump campaign and along with Bossie coauthored the book "Trump: America First" — was also on the podcast and predicted that during the 2020 cycle President Trump will improve upon his 2016 electoral college victory.

Bossie, who served as Trump's deputy campaign manager in 2016, said that he thinks Trump will secure more support from black and Hispanic voters in 2020 than he did during the prior presidential race.
