Democratic Rep. Gallego raises over $10 million in Arizona Senate race: report
Gallego currently represents Arizona's third district.
Rep. Ruben Gallego, D-Ariz., raised $10.4 million in his bid to represent Arizona in the U.S. Senate during the second quarter.
Gallego has raised a total of $31 million for the campaign and ended June with $9.2 million in his war chest, according to Politico. The Democratic lawmaker is expected to face former Arizona gubernatorial candidate Kari Lake.
The seat is currently held by Sen. Kyrsten Sinema, I-Ariz., who won election as a Democrat but later left the party and is not seeking reelection.
Gallego represents Arizona's third district and served in the United States Marine Corps.
The second quarter numbers continue his streak of out-fundraising Lake.
