A recent Pennsylvania court ruling that invalidates mail-in ballots sent without the proper envelope has resulted in Democrats launching a digital ad to show voters the correct procedure.

The 30-second ad released Thursday follows the state Supreme Court ruling last week that is projected to invalidate as many as 100,000 so-called "naked" ballots.

The court ruling was considered a win for the Trump campaign, which has raised concerns through the election cycle about mail-in balloting.

Trump won Pennsylvania in 2016 by roughly 44,000 votes, and he remains in a close contest in the swing state this year with Democratic rival Joe Biden.

The ad also explains how to correctly fill out a ballot, according to the Associated Press.
