Dick Cheney will vote for Kamala Harris over Donald Trump, Liz Cheney says
Her father, who served as former President George W. Bush's running mate, called Trump a "coward" in an ad for his daughter's re-election campaign in 2022.
Former Vice President Dick Cheney will vote for Vice President Kamala Harris, the Democratic presidential nominee, over Donald Trump, the GOP nominee, says former Rep. Liz Cheney, R-Wyo., who previously revealed that she would be voting for Harris as well.
"Dick Cheney will be voting for Kamala Harris," Cheney said on Friday.
In the 2020 election cycle, Cheney, the former House GOP conference chair, was critical of Harris, calling her a "radical liberal" to the left of Sen. Bernie Sanders, I-Vt., a self-described Democratic-socialist.
Following the Jan. 6, 2021 Capitol riot, Cheney joined the House Select Committee on Jan. 6, established under former House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, D-Calif.
In May 2021, Cheney was removed from the House GOP leadership team.
