Trump, Kemp to make first joint appearance since 2020

GOP presidential nominee Donald Trump and Georgia Republican Gov. Brian Kemp will on Friday appear together for the first time since 2020, when their differences over the state's presidential election results sparked a years-long feud.

Trump criticized Kemp for not helping him challenge the results in Georgia, a state he needed to win for a second term but lost to then-Democratic presidential nominee Joe Biden.

They have since publicly put aside their differences to try winning back Georgia for the GOP on Nov. 5.

Trump and Kemp are scheduled to be briefed in the unincorporated community of Evans on Hurricane Helene damage and speak to the press.

Officials in Columbia County, in which Evans is located, invited Trump and Kemp to attend the briefing, according to Politico, based on information from a source.
