An election worker in Florida was fired following an incident where a bin that contained filled-out ballots fell off a truck in the Sunshine State.

The Miami-Dade County Elections Department announced on Tuesday that the election worker didn't lock the truck before driving, resulting in the ballots falling out of the truck.

“Upon arrival at the police department, elections staff verified all seals were intact and nothing was tampered with or damaged,” the department said. “Once at Elections Headquarters, all items were accounted for and all seals were once again verified.”

They described what happened as a "human error."

The ballots were noticed due to a driver finding a bag of ballots and a bin of ballots near the Turnpike extension in Cutler Bay, according to The Hill.

The driver brought the ballots to the police after seeing them.
