Sen. Elizabeth Warren on Wednesday morning formally endorsed fellow Democrat Joe Biden for president.

The endorsement came via tweet. The former 2020 presidential candidate recorded a short online video message and linked to Biden's campaign page, encouraging followers to contribute small-dollar donations.

Warren's endorsement follows those of Sen. Bernie Sanders, another ex-2020 contender, and former President Barack Obama.

The Massachusetts senator notably withheld her endorsement from fellow "Medicare for All" backer Sanders following the suspension of her primary campaign.
